Dukannstdas
Dukannstdas is a German word that translates into “You can do it”.dukannstdas It is similar to the English phrase “you can do it”, but is more specific. It is used to encourage someone and to imply that they can do something due to their knowledge, skills or mental or physical condition. It is a motivating statement that is not used often in the English language, but can be found in German learning units.
In the upcoming exhibition dukannstdas, artists Danica Dakic and a group of young international Master students from the Public Art and New Artistic Strategies programme at Bauhaus University Weimar will develop contributions to the current conflicts, paradoxes and contradictions of a complex society.dukannstdas They will show how these challenges can be addressed creatively with a focus on everyday life and their own experience.
The exhibition is part of the project “Der Raum des kleinen Geistes” (The room of the little mind) and will be on display at Kunstsammlungen am Theaterplatz in Chemnitz from 28 January to 27 February 2022.dukannstdas
The exhibits will be supplemented by a series of events. For example, on 28 January at 5 pm, a discussion with the artists will take place in the Saulensaal.
